Job Title: Associate Attorney - Civil Rights Law Firm

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Associate Attorney to join our California office and contribute to our mission of promoting civil rights and social justice.
Position Overview:
As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with senior attorneys and clients on a wide range of civil rights cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a California-based lawyer with a California Bar license and up to three years of experience to gain valuable experience in complex litigation while making a meaningful impact on society.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct legal research and analysis on civil rights issues.
2. Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
3. Assist in case preparation and strategy development.
4. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
5. Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
6. Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure effective case management.
7. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
3. More that 5 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on civil litigation.
4. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
7. Commitment to social justice and civil rights advocacy.
