The Hartford Golf Club is a private country club located in West Hartford. It is the premier club in the Hartford region offering a rich tradition of sports, fine dining, and family-focused activities. The 30,000 square foot Clubhouse sits on 256 acres of impeccably maintained grounds.

The Club has an extensive selection of world-class facilities for all ages, including a 27-hole golf course, 9 Har Tru tennis courts, 4 international squash courts, 6 outdoor platform tennis courts, 3 pools, 4 lane duckpin bowling alley, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility.

We are looking for Servers for our restaurant/ pub to provide excellence in hospitality to our members and their invited guests in a friendly and professional manner. Availability for late morning/ afternoon shifts on a few weekdays is required for our open roles at this time.

Essential Functions:

• Arrive for scheduled work shifts on time, in a positive state of mind, while meeting dress code and grooming standards for a professional appearance.
• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a fine dining Food & Beverage atmosphere.
• Serve members and guests beverages as requested.
• Review daily specials and draft beer list with members.
• Adhere to standard food safety practices.
• Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.
• Maintain restaurant safety and sanitation.
• Perform dining room/bar set up and running side work.
• Participate in table and dining room clean up.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to provide efficient and courteous service while anticipating individual members' needs and fulfilling those needs with visible enthusiasm.
• Must have a service-oriented personality.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.
• Present a positive, professional image.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• THIS IS A NON-TIPPING POSITION.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Must be able to continuously move about the restaurant or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
• Can grasp and good eye/hand coordination.
• Occasionally position oneself to reach items below waist or over shoulders and move items, such as menus and trays weighing up to 10 lbs.
• Must be able to continuously work in a restaurant environment with noise; and occasionally walk on wet, slippery surfaces, and infrequent loud music.
