Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-Time appointment to the Office Technician (Typing) classification in the Health Information Management Department (HIMD). This position is under the direction of the Health Record Technician III Supervisor and general supervision of the HIMD Director. Office Technician (Typing) duties include but are not limited to:
This position is responsible for reviewing and preparing various documents for accuracy and completeness. The successful candidate must have the ability to maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and the public, use modern office methods, programs, supplies and standard office equipment, demonstrate effective positive communication skills and have familiarity with the hospital organization.
In order to be appointed as Office Technician (Typing), candidates must be able to type at least forty (40) words per minute. Please provide a typing certificate that meets CalHR requirements (5 minutes in length & proctored):

Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
