Under the supervision of the Supervising Workers' Compensation Consultant (SWCC), and receiving general direction from the Workers’ Compensation Manager, the Office Technician (Typing) will learn and perform a wide range of difficult clerical duties related to the administration of the Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) program following the established procedures of the Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) Medical Unit. The OT(T)is responsible for timely processing of incoming and outgoing mail and other correspondence, accurate evaluation and entry of QME panel requests in accordance with applicable Labor Codes and regulations, and effective communication and customer service in interactions with coworkers and the public. Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
