Job Description

Purpose

Responsible in the development of the adidas player strategy, including scouting, signing and maintaining relationships with our adidas contracted players. Lead and drive adidas assets (players) and with leagues, ensuring that our share of voice within US category.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and drive the Olympic Sport(s) player strategy for the US
  • Partner with Team to help scout next generation players and maintain a database of potential signings.
  • Sign and retain key players, working with both agents and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain daily relationships with players, ensuring a premium level of service.
  • Heavy travel and overtime may be required during peak season, up to 40%.
  • Support the execution of category initiatives by placing product buys and forecasting distribution of product based on internal event calendar.
  • Manage the merchandise program for all category related partners
  • Leverage internal reporting to ensure accurate and timely execution of activations
  • Coordinate administrative program operations such as order tracking, filing, budgeting and related correspondence.
  • Coordinate product distributions based on seasonal availability and provide alternate solutions that create opportunities to influence purchasing decisions of the consumer.
  • Coordinate with Brand Activation on programs related to advertising and collateral materials.
  • Coordinate athlete travel booking and expense reimbursement.
  • Assist with the execution of athlete appearances and retail promotions

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of assigned sport/category

  • Ability to work across teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to present effectively to groups, including members of all organizational levels

  • Ability to communicate with people on different levels within and outside the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)

Qualifications

  • Four year college or university degree, emphasis in marketing or business preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training;
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for a degree.

For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Portland, Oregon.
