Job Description

Drive Local! A Piqua company is seeking a dedicated and skilled, Lugger Truck Driver, who is able to operate other yard trucks & tractors. Driver must have a Class A, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for this full-time position with ample overtime opportunities @ $30 per hour and benefits. Schedule: 1st shift, Monday thru Friday with local pick ups and deliveries.

Duties:

Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials to designated locations.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of containers.
Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
Ability to navigate the greater Dayton area.
Yard work.
Forklift experience a plus.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.
Home Phone or Cell.
A Valid Driver’s License.
Your Own Transportation.
A Clean Background with NOFelony Conviction.
Able to Pass an Employment Drug Screen.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A) with a clean driving record.
Experience in route driving with knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
Semi Roll-Off/Dump or Straight Truck Lugger and Roll-off experience.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving.
Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred but not mandatory.
