Job Description: National defense firm in the AmLaw 200 seeks an experienced Legal Biller/Billing Specialist to join their team. The ideal Legal Biller/Billing Specialist possesses 3-5+ years of experience working with 3E (Elite), has handled appeals specifically with insurance carriers, has experience generating invoices, reconciling payments, and running monthly reports.
Legal Biller/Billing Specialist Job Duties:
* Process and review attorney time entries for accuracy and compliance
* Generate and submit invoices to clients, including through electronic billing portals
* Monitor e-bill statuses and take ownership of correcting and resubmitting rejected invoices
* Handle appeals for e-billing discrepancies and rejections from insurance carriers
* Liaise with attorneys, collections, and AP teams to ensure billing accuracy and timely submission
* Maintain and update client billing guidelines in the 3E system
Legal Biller/Billing Specialist Job Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of legal billing experience required, preference within insurance litigation
- Prior experience with 3E required
- Experience working in billing, collections, and accounts payable preferred
