Salary: $81,250 - 146,875 per year Requirements:

• We require candidates to have experience with cloud-first, AWS native architectures, specifically with RDS managed services. Candidates should possess prior experience in using, optimizing, and upgrading Oracle SQL/PLSQL, along with a solid understanding of databases, particularly Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree in a related discipline with 2 years of experience is necessary. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, I will support the migration of Oracle databases from on-premise to AWS Cloud using the RDS managed service. I will contribute to the development of data migration strategies and their implementation while modifying functions with Oracle to produce additional data outputs. Additionally, I will modernize databases to implement Spatial functionality, analyze and evaluate system improvements, and support the development of long-term and short-term requirements for database administration and design. Responsibilities also include documenting database procedures and best practices, managing and maintaining Oracle databases, optimizing spatial data in Oracle, and potentially converting Oracle databases to PostgreSQL.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of complex application integration, AWS certifications (like associate and developer), and CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification. Experience in software development or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web Services) is valuable. Ideal candidates will have experience as a Database Administrator, which encompasses data migration, user administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, issue investigation, and resolution. Familiarity with Postgres database modernization, AWS cloud formation templates, configuration management tools and processes, Oracle Spatial or PostGIS, and scripting in JavaScript, Perl, and/or Python is advantageous. Experience with team collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence is also preferred. A current Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is essential for this position.

We anticipate that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days. The pay range for this position is $81,250.00 - $146,875.00.
