  • Oversee and ensure sales tax compliance and other state tax compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and challenges.
  • Participate in the development of strategies to improve accounting operations effectiveness, including the development and execution of organizational, process, and system changes.
  • Develop staff goals and key performance indicators to measure performance and ensure the department is performing at a high level.

Other Duties:

This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. You may be required to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Your performance will be evaluated, in part, based on your successful execution of the responsibilities and duties outlined above.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in a mid-sized private equity-backed company ($100+ million in annual revenue).
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting, WIP schedules, and job costing principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels and remote teams.
  • High integrity, dependability, and a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • Proficiency in Vista Viewpoint or equivalent construction accounting software.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting ERP conversions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, and other Microsoft Power Platform tools.
  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and partnering with senior leadership.
  • Ability to identify and drive process improvements across financial operations.

Education, License and Experience:

  • Active CPA license required
  • 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in the construction industry.

Physical Requirements:
