Chapman Volkswagen of Scottsdale is seeking a Parts Counter Associate to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will oversee the parts sales process ensuring customers enjoy a positive, helpful parts buying experience. The Parts Counter Associate will also assist with inventory management duties including receiving parts orders and stocking inventory. Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage the parts sales process, ensuring internal and external customers receive parts and accessories in a timely manner, and solicit additional sales.
  • Order parts from vendors or other outside sources, and communicate with vendors and customers regarding parts order status.
  • Provide customers with price quotes and other information.
  • Check in and inspect incoming shipments, verifying the correct parts and quantities are received and entered into inventory.
  • Properly tag and store parts in designated storage areas.
  • Pull parts for technicians and to fill orders, preparing them for shipment.
  • Assist with inventory control by maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory area, parts counter and retail displays.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • General computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with auto parts is a plus.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to walk or stand for extended periods and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Hours and Work Environment: The Parts Department is open 7am to 6pm Monday – Friday and 7:30am – 5pm on Saturdays. Shifts will include Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays. Our team enjoys a state-of-the-art climate-controlled shop and parts warehouse.
