Purple Unicorn Enterprises is hiring an  Assistant Buyer  on behalf of  OS2 ( , which has successfully streamlined procurement services for defense contractors and large organizations for the past 18 years. Position Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and excellent data entry skills. The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for accurately inputting supplier quotes into our internal system. The role does not involve contacting vendors – it focuses on correctly recording all relevant quote data, including pricing, part numbers, condition, and quantity. This is an entry-level role, ideal for recent graduates or candidates with at least 2 years of college education and a strong academic track record.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and enter supplier quotes into our procurement system with high accuracy
• Verify that pricing, quantity, part numbers (P/N), and condition are correctly logged
• Maintain organized electronic records of quotes and bids
• Support the lead buyer by handling manual data entry and documentation updates
• Collaborate with internal team members to resolve data inconsistencies
• Perform basic price comparisons and math checks as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of college coursework completed (Associate's or partial Bachelor's degree acceptable)
• Minimum GPA of 3.8 – academic excellence required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
• Solid command of basic math (e.g., unit price × quantity, comparing price options)
• Experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets)
• Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in procurement, logistics, or administrative support (a plus, not required)
• Familiarity with ERP or purchasing software systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
