Job Description

Our client, a leader in the support services industry, is seeking an Administrative Assistant/Intake Coordinator to join their team. As an Administrative Assistant/Intake Coordinator you will be part of a dedicated team supporting individuals in their journey towards independent living. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and a passion for advocacy, which will align successfully with the organization.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant/Intake Coordinator-Bilingual

Location: Middletown, NY

Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Schedule: M-Fri 9am-5pm

Temp-Perm Opportunity

What's the Job?

  • Provide excellent customer service and support in a welcoming front office environment.
  • Engage with individuals to assess their needs for independent living services, both in person and via phone.
  • Initiate and compile intake forms and packets for new referrals, ensuring all necessary documents are prepared.
  • Develop a deep understanding of independent living resources and federal and state disability rights laws.
  • Offer employment readiness services to assist consumers in preparing to enter or re-enter the workforce.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English to effectively communicate with diverse individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing intake processes.
  • Ability to provide individual and systems advocacy for people with disabilities.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to handle incoming calls.
  • A commitment to promoting independence and empowerment for individuals with disabilities.
