CUET Exam Pattern 2025: The NTA has released the CUET exam pattern 2025 for the candidates who aspire to take the exam in May. The CUET will be held online as a computer-based test (CBT) and in three shifts. The shift timings and the duration of the same have not yet been announced. The CUET is a common entrance exam conducted by NTA for UG Admissions across 110+ universities in India. A total of 42 central universities (with the likes of, DU, JNU, Hyderabad University, and Allahabad University) will be a part of the CUET (UG) 2025 and will be taking admissions in various UG courses based on the CUET (UG) 2025 scores of the students. The CUET exam pattern 2025 has been revised and some new changes are observed. However, there is no change in the CUET marking scheme in 2025. Concerned candidates must take note of the following:
- Compensatory time for PwBD Candidates, who are eligible for Scribe (whether such candidate uses the facility of Scribe or not) 20 minutes for each hour examination will be extended as per Govt.
- Such extra time will be extended test-wise and not in the aggregate duration of the morning/afternoon slot.

CUET (UG) Marking Scheme 2025
NTA has confirmed the exam pattern & the CUET marking scheme for the upcoming exam in 2025. As per the official CUET notification, 5 marks will be awarded for every correct attempt, and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt. However, there will be no penalty for unattempted questions. Students who have attempted any drop questions (Wrong questions – No right answer in the given options) will be awarded the full marks (+5) for that.

Language (section IA & IB) – Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary and Narrative, and Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary.
