  • The weightage of the CUET scores will be at the sole discretion of admission into any participating university of CUET (UG) 2025.
  • As of date, CUET eligibility does not mention an age limit. However, Universities can decide on minimum & maximum age limits for admissions to all (or any) of the UG programs on offer.
  • For UG admission to Universities through CUET (UG) 2025, the existing policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservation policy, qualification, subject combinations, preferences, etc. of the respective University shall be applicable.
  • As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the respective University website to which they are applying and check the respective CUET eligibility criteria for various programs.
  •     Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess the exact CUET eligibility criteria laid down by the University for the programs to which they are applying.

  • Mere appearance in the Entrance Test or securing passing marks in the test does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission to the Program unless he/she fulfills the Program-wise eligibility conditions of the University to which they are applying.

CUET (UG) 2025 Reservation policy

CUET is an entrance test for admission to undergraduate courses in 250+ universities including 47 central universities. Since Central Universities are part of the examination and it is a common national examination, each participating university has to follow the standard norms of reservation policy laid down by the Government of India with regard to admission capacity and CUET reservation policy for filling up of seats. This section provides information related to CUET reservation policy and relaxation for SC/ST, OBC and PWD category.

Following is the CUET reservation policy to be followed by the universities:

Category Reservation
General Economically Weaker Sections (GEN-EWS) 10%
Scheduled Castes (SC) 15%
Scheduled Tribes (ST) 7.5%
Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer) 27%
Persons with Disability 5% in each category

For availing reservation on the basis of caste (or any other category specified), the candidate should be able to produce valid documents/certificates to support his/her claims. The documents/certificates supporting your reservation (as per CUET Reservation Policy) should not be more than 6 months old.

Candidates have to ensure two important things about the certificate for their CUET reservation (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD) for CUET (UG) 2025:

  • The certificate must have been issued on or after the 1st of March 2025.

  • In case you don’t have the certificate, you can submit a declaration of the same. The proforma for the declaration will be provided in annexure II of the CUET information bulletin.

It is necessary for every candidate to check the validity of his/her candidature through the criteria mentioned in CUET eligibility criteria as well as the university for which he/she is applying. The candidate must be aware of the documents that may be required while applying for the exam or during the admission process. They should ensure its availability well before the required date to avoid any last minute hassle.

The detailed CUET eligibility criteria will be mentioned in the CUET (UG) 2025 notification (when released). Candidates are advised to read it thoroughly before filling the CUET form.
