Before proceeding with the NTA CUET Application Form, you must check whether you fulfill the CUET Eligibility Criteria for 2024 or not.

  • There is no age limit for the candidates appearing in CUET (UG) – 2024.

  • Applicant must have completed 12th class from a recognized university or board.
  • OR 10+3 Diploma approved by the State Board of Technical Education
  • Candidates must have studied the subjects in 10+2 classes depending on their chosen course.
  • As per the official notification, those appearing in the qualifying examination (12th examination) in 2024 are also eligible to apply for the Common University Entrance Test.

CUET Eligibility Criteria 2024 – Minimum Qualifying Marks for Undergraduate Courses

  • You must have obtained the minimum qualifying score in class 12 or equivalent exam to be eligible for the Common University Entrance Test 2024 as prescribed by the respective university.
  • General category candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in 10+2 exam.
  • All those belonging to reserved categories must have secured minimum 45% marks in 10+2 examination.
  • The minimum qualifying marks differ for each participating university.

CUET 2024 – Number of Attempts

Unlike other entrance exams, CUET attempt limit is “n” number of times.

So, as long as you fulfill the CUET eligibility criteria for age, nationality, educational qualification and minimum marks, you can attempt this exam.

CUET Nationality 2024

To be eligible for the CUET exam, one must comply with the following citizenship rules:

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Nepal, a constituent subject of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1 January 1962 to make India his permanent home and reside there permanently.
  • Pakistanis, Burmese, Sri Lankans, Kenyans, Ugandans, Tanzanians, Zambians, Malawians, Zaireans, Ethiopians and Vietnamese who migrated to India permanently.

CUET Reservation Policy 2024

Certain percentage of seats are reserved for Indian nationals in specific reserved categories as per rules laid down by the Government of India.

However, in case of Central Universities, the reservation policy is applicable as per the rules of the concerned University.

Upload the required category certificate issued on or after 01 January 2024 as per the latest guidelines of Government of India to claim the benefit of reservation.

CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for the University of Delhi (DU)

From the academic session 2024, admissions to undergraduate courses in Delhi University are based only on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score.

As per CUET Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria 2024 there is no age limit to apply for the entrance exam. DU also does not keep any eligibility requirement.

To write CUET, you must have valid marks in class 12. However, there are specific requirements to get admission in UG program of DU, which are as follows.

As per the CUET DU eligibility criteria, you must appear in the four tests of CUET and obtain minimum qualifying marks in the language test.

  • One language paper (compulsory)
  • Three domain subjects (compulsory)
  • A minimum of 30% in the language paper

CUET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for Banaras Hindu University (BHU)

The common CUET BHU eligibility criteria is classified under four parameters as mentioned below. However, the criteria are different for each program in the university.

  • Age Limit: Your age should not exceed 22 years as on 01 July 2024, which means you must have been born on or after 02 July 2001.
  • Educational Qualification: You must have completed class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized University or Board.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: You must have at least 50% aggregate marks in 12th standard.
  • Required subjects in CUET: You will have to write one language paper, at least two subsections from section B and a general aptitude test for the CUET exam.
